What’s make-up got to do with beauty? Chimamanda says …

”I love make-up and its wonderful possibilities for temporary transformation. And I also love my face after I wash it all off,” Adichie said in a press release.

“There is something exquisitely enjoyable about seeing yourself with a self-made new look. And for me that look is deeply personal.

“It isn’t about what is in fashion or what the rules are supposed to be. It’s about what I like.

“What makes me want to smile when I look in the mirror. What makes me feel slightly better on a dull day. What makes me comfortable.”

Launching on Friday 21 October with print, TV and online advertising, the ‘Ready to Speak Up’ campaign aims to recognize that beauty is about more than just looking pretty. Boots chose Adichie to front the campaign as she has spoken publicly about how makeup is part of her identity as a feminist, and as in everything else this woman does – she kicked ass!!

If You missed Dear Diary 1 – Catch up Here

Mrs Justin Beynang sat in her lawyer’s office waiting for the instructions on how to read her husband’s will and get the paperwork for his office reopening and official operational changes after his demise. Business had carried on as usual but so many things had not been officially cleared up about how the gap he had devastatingly left will affect the structure of the organisation – the good news is no one was losing their jobs, actually there was recruitment and career progression news on the horizon which she knew will motivate the workers more.

It was time for her to step up her game and step into his shoe, he had left a business to run and workers on payroll, so even in mourning she had to take over the reins.

She had no sons with Justin but in the interim was very capable of running the fort until Dinah was ready to make it work and return home, the likelihood of that happening was statistically 1:million  with serious prayers and cajoling. Dinah always rebuffed the idea saying she wasn’t cut out for her dad’s line of business. In essence that was the truth, Candice her last daughter was more of the iron fist in the family but was still completing her Degree and had plans to travel for further studies with Dinah in London.

The death of their dad had dented the plans for now but Candice showed signs of depression – she was one of those people who internalised her worries till they erupted in the worse kind of anger or breakdown crisis. Her present state was greatly affecting the internship her dad had secured for her through his contacts at the ministry of finance – she was barely able to wake up and turn up to work and was losing significant weight. So here she stood battling to drag one daughter out of a deep dark place and another million miles away to consider returning home – until all her plans were successful the only person who could take over Justin remained her – a realisation that stirred her drive for success.

Within a day Mrs Beynang had run the course of the courts and the lawyer’s offices three times but could not anticipate how her day was going to end. Lawyer Emerson who was a long time friend of the family sat at his table and categorically told her that she had to still herself for the will reading, and she couldn’t counter the will because it was already authenticated in her husband’s sound state of health and mind and the seal and signatures were on the envelopes.

The two lawyers present were assigned trustees and executors of the will, they joined in from the high court and formed part of the team who were assigned to execute the will in the demise of the testator. The majority of Justin’s assets were passed unto his family but a certain charity was passed on some pecuniary assets in his businesses in the UK , that didn’t come to his wife as a surprise because she knew he had a regular gift set up to that charity for over 20 years.

Mrs Beynang left the legal confines of Emerson’s office short of words… Something about the will was so out of place… Was this a mistake and if so, why? why on earth would Dinah have 20% share , Candice 20% share of her dad’s business and Melissa who was just a friend to Dinah 25% while she who was his wife left with 35% and all their landed property!

It shouldn’t take anyone long enough to notice that flying is a common thing in pictures related to the anticipated  sensational afro-pop dance hall club banger released by the iconic, one of the most creative and self-defined fashion music legend Sama Ndango – the release of his new hit single Un-Genre Un-Genre is so addictive and hypnotising you’d fly – ecstatically or hysterically – this guy’s sagacity has no limits!

We do not need authorisation to put a tag on this new release of Un-Genre Un-Genre , the preluding video is pure genius – utter creativity and ingenuity from Sama Ndango aka Mr, Fix It  will leave you racking your brains for more – but with serious inclination to be left out of the logic because this man has a method to his madness!

This song has the potential to be a paean in most French-speaking countries, but also to anyone who listens to it for the first time, something about the alliteration of Un-Genre – translated as (a kind/type) will remain in the cortex of your brain for so long you’d be humming , singing, bobbing your head and potentially catching the epidemic of free-willing in the jungle in a white boxer and a chewing stick – life is good like that !

Sama you’ve left us all feeling |Un Genre Un Genre| now please can you just land this music already before we all go bunkers with the wait!!!

When Words Bludgeon

2e003956494d57d6776eda8e9597b152
This weekend getaway was something Melissa, Catherine and Dinah had planned for ages. The workload was taking its toll and there was a major issue across all three friends on work-life balance or imbalance that needed to be addressed, every single one of them was suffering the effects of a very successful career and no time for the good things in life they all aspired towards.

The three friends seem to be paying a hash price for the good life and six/seven digit salaries in the heart of the London city. Catherine and Dinah were all in the banking sector and in their own way they felt like the women Wolfs of wall street, while Melissa, the wheeler-dealer of international development had somehow with her political science degree and MSc in development had ended in International Development, meaning her trips around the third world were a lot frequent than she had anticipated – but in all it looked like she loved her job more than her two besties.

In the heart of all the whir and fuzz, the only thing that kept them on track was their sisterhood – their friendship was all they had had for decades and they sure knew how to feed the very essence of it as much as they could. They had an insatiable quest for value in what they held most dear and that was each other or so they presumed. Trying their best to nourish and cherish the bond of sisterhood and friendship which they all shared.

Meeting at Heathrow was a well thought-out plan for their vacation – Heathrow was the closest to one person’s geographic location but a fair share of travel for all. The person who lived closest had to make sure coffee and croissants were waiting at the airport and all the necessary information was available before all the others got there to check-in, so there was no complaining from Dinah who bore the brunt of living twenty minutes from the airport, she required less travel, but had to hold the fort for Mellissa and Catherine.

When all three finally gathered at the landmark location with giddy excitement and embrace it was already time to check-in to their flight which they bungled their ecstatic selves  on-time after giggles and hugs and insults and banter about anything and everything but more importantly who had put on the most weight, their number one best conversation of all times, they all agreed that Mellissa looked a little on the ‘fat’ side and her boobs were huge making her cleavage unbearably obviously distracting in her low-cut blouse.

The flight took off with three ladies holding hands and whispering their usual mantra for take-off panic – ‘be gone with it be gone all fears’ – the sun rose with the terrain underneath the skies from above – Ibiza was their destination of choice and well so.

  • Men initiate sex more than women – it’s in their nature and a very old-fashioned way – they were created to beg and cajole sex out of women, but notwithstanding, women have become very open and accepting of their sexuality and can be very outspoken to some men, they’d just say what they think and how they feel – a lot of powerful confident woman will fall in this category.
  • Men will take more risks than women threesomes foursomes sister-somes , ten-somes, employees or mad person in Africa ritual Kanayo-O-Kanayo  movies for the right rewards – sleep with a mad woman and become part of an elites brotherhood with wealth that’s endless – (that’s exactly when i stIp watching the movie – cos shit get real 😆 😆 ) !!! anything for money!
  • Men masturbate more – its just a medical fact sorry guys – it’s you and your hand tonight, hahahahahah – I’ll take that back , with the degree of open-mindedness women are embracing and the number of sex shops sprouting all about and online, well lets just “say any man di try e best” !! and if I am absolutely bang on my Christian values, its a sin – but medically it’s ok (confuse.com  )
  • Women can go for longer without sex – fact! men have an innate need for sex while women don’t, unless you absolutely has a different type of itch a woman can go for years without sex, which is why celibacy in a man is extremely captivating (my opinion)
  • Men are more likely to cheat while women won’t – because men are wired to just have sex without love while women need some connection. It will take anything for a man to go there with no feelings, on the other hand, women must connect at any level be it
    • looks
    • money
    • fame
    • sacrifice
    • size
    • competition
    • love
    • lust
  • Women outrighly refuse sex more than men, even if a man has a cask on his leg or is sick just ask him if he needs sex or touch him the wrong way and he will be all over like a heat rash, a woman knows those days when even if she is given all the diamonds in the world sex is the last thing on her mind and those days she will willfully
    • wear the biggest old gramma draws
    • wear the tightest jammies to bed/sleep in jeans 😆
    • sleep facing the wall
    • feign sickness
    • or just quarrel with the man all day to avoid any action
  • Men spend more money to get sex – wining and dining the women  full force expensive cars and gifts and flashing all kind of tinz, and the sister is thinking this is Bae while the man is thinking sex is bae – you are on two different equilibriums and the women always end up hurt because every woman wants to keep a man who throws gifts at them – like Mayweather

(A feel good article for banter and humor with no advice or instructions intended )

The 19-year-old made global headlines when she became only the second model with the disability to walk at NYFW in history, she goes by name Madeline Stuart, and to be candid no one really cares what her name is because she has captured the hearts of viewers the world over.

Circled by the most elegant, most sleek and classy and the stereotypical model types – Madaline, though with her disability carries her heart on her face and her smile melts the hearts of viewers and readers alike. Rosanne told Daily Mail Australia: “‘I think it is time people realised that people with Down’s syndrome can be sexy and beautiful.

To Us beauty stopped being a defined set of looks, legs, body butt ass and more that the world has nailed with the female and male genders alike to the cross – its a new era where beauty is murdered by values, virtues and beliefs –  join the wagon or get left wallowing in your self-pity and negativity.

!! Everyone is absolutely a heart-catcher in one way or another !!

Hey guys, let me introduce you to the one and only Miss BSenjo whose voice like the title of her debut album is – change inevitable- the 23-year-old singer from Cameroon has something colloquial yet unbelievably captivating in her tone, you’d want to listen to her voice over and over again, she is a rare gem!!

Singing has been part of this songstress life for as long as she can recall , taking part in competitions and singing in choirs helped build her talent and vocal range to the exceeding potentials we are now witnessing with the Make A Change video release.

13923827_1716039891979062_3449166976083549263_o

BSenjo delved into her passion for music as she recounts her time with her high school choir to exploit more of her talent and was automatically made the choir leader.  In 2010, Miss BSenjo  released her first album “Stand on your faith” which didn’t go anywhere due to lack of publicity and finance .Coupled with the fact that she was still a full-time student and her utmost focus at the time was education but the passion and determination for music motivated her to plan further – she so kept striving, even when people around her basically termed  her struggle “Rubbish songs by a nobody

Her luck changed in 2013, with news she had won the DV lottery to the US . The penny had dropped for Miss Belinda and that translated into a visit to the studio to pour out her love and gratitude unto a song she entitled  “Make a change”  encouraging the underprivileged and people who may have been experienced same roadblocks as her not to give up and always have hope.

On arriving the  U.S, Belinda started doing covers of artists like Beyoncé and Mariah Carey, because their style of music inspired her and led to a huge following on social media.  Then she took an artistic bold step to audition at the American Got Talent competition in 2014 to showcase her talent.  Though unsuccessful her drive to get the Make A Change album was fueled even further – to decry societal vices like child molestation and abuse a trait very common in Cameroon where children are raised by relatives and maltreated because they are not biological children.

In BSenjo’s own words ;

14169462_1833189960245062_533200349_n

These kids are instead the ones who will be better-off tomorrow .So we need to make a change. I’m also doing this for my dad. I want him to be proud of me. He wasn’t a part of my life while I was growing up but he showed up at a very crucial point when I needed him the most .love you dad. In all, music is life to me.

Support TeachMeToFish By clicking This link

Teach Me To Fish Foundation (TMTF) was founded to make dreams come true through education. We support underprivileged children through school by providing them with basic school needs like books, pencils, uniforms and most importantly their school fees.

Our goal is to teach them to fend for themselves by equipping them for the future through education. We seek to better their lives, their families and the country as a whole.

It is an unquantifiable way of helping the poorest children in our communities. With a donation that costs next to nothing, we can show them the way to a better future instead of leaving them to grow on the streets, on the farms, on the markets and at unknown places which could endanger their lives and their future when they could be in a classroom learning all they require to lead a better life forever.

“My dream is to create a country where at least 50% of underprivileged children, boys and girls have access to education and consequently become educated.

An organisation like TeachMeToFish is made for IMPACT- the difference it creates for it’s beneficiaries and community as a whole is unmeasurable but evident regardless of time. I am here to make sure that impact does not go unnoticed. I am here to bring change to a group of people who never saw it coming”

Click here to Support the Penjo4Education Initiative

Penjo for Education is a Program of Penjo Entertainment aimed at bringing Education to brilliant kids in remote communities who cannot afford the very basic Education to which they have a right to enjoy.

PJ4E identifies children in remote communities whose families cannot afford to sponsor them in school and works with its donors and partners to provide basic school needs like School Fees, Books, Uniforms, etc.

The Program was birthed in 2008 from the dedication of Renowned Cameroonian Photographer Peter Njodzeka popular known as Penjo Baba to use his savings to contribute his very little towards making his community a better place through his Water Projects in different Communities around the country.

As the number of children increased over the years, Penjo’s kept increasing his savings for them. But in August 2016, some amazing friends and benevolent people showed interest in joinning the initiative by providing more support and volunteering in this journey.

Join PJ4E today as we’re looking forward to creating more impact and changing the lives of many more children.
